Support offered from company: 2simple are responsive if/when we need to contact them

Generally the program of activities are enjoyable for the children to undertake and easy to access. Feedback from staff, children and parents are positive. Images used are appealing to young children across all areas of the curriculum tasks.

How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

Maths and english activities are linked to NC well, especially for problem solving and writing activities; computing targets can be addressed too with cross curricular activities like history, geography

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Reasonably: There is some representation of minorities and no real stereotyping

The resources are attractively presented in a format that appeals to the children. there are some basic images displaying diversity too

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Differentiation I feel can be limited with some activities as the main differentiation is via outcome of the children's abilities rather than opportunities to extend the online activity specifically for pupils

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Children do enjoy the tasks, and they find the layout and formats of tasks offered simple to follow and access. Receiving feedback from teachers for their saved tasks motivates the children to pursue the activities too

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful

We find that the catalogue of activities comply with NC objectives, and tasks given to the children can be cross curricular where skills can be acquired and extended - however we don't feel that there are specific assessment features included in the programs

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

The activities/programs selected for children's use have been specifically chosen as they meet computing objectives and/or other curriculum areas. The activities are easy to explain/demonstrate to the class, they are easy for the children to access and complete without further intervention - activities do inspire the children and they enjoy the opportunities to access multiple programs which have become class favourites. In addition many activities can be set as home learning tasks too

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning

Children and parents find accessing and completing the program of activities easy and straightforward without addtional instructions from school/staff. Many activities available can be used to address class objectives and topic focuses

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

We feel that the program of activities available and the support we receive from 2simple is worth what we pay especially as we utilise the system for both class and home use.
