We love it!

How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

It covers all the NC topics that we teach and the content is really good.

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented

The content is inclusive and easy to access for all of our children.

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

The resources are well differentiated and appropriate for the very mixed ability of our children.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so

Our children love using Purple Mash in a range of curriculum areas. It is visually appealing and the children engage with it well.

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

It enables the class teachers to get a good idea of where the children are in their thinking, skills and knowledge.

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

It supoorts the teachers in all age groups with their planning. It has a good range of interesting resources and is linked to learning objectives.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

The children can access this from home and it supports home learning and motivates the children.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

It is worth the money because we use it so much. It is quite a lot but worth it.
