How well does it match the curriculum?
 •  5* Follows white Rose but all questions progress exceptionally
 •  4* Supports all NC math objectives 
 •  4* Good coverage but requires deepening
 •  4* Good resources
 •  4* Matched well and small steps evident
 •  4* Covers everything 
 •  3* Expensive and a little prescriptive 
 •  3* Resources are good and generally meets requirements 

 

How does it support adaptation for different learners?
 •  4* Questions get progressively harder so all can achieve initially but no ceiling.
 •  3* Mainly by outcome, anything more needs teacher resources
 •  3* The deepening is not broad enough
 •  4* Accessible by outcome rather than differentiation
 •  3* I don’t like the fact that it isn’t very tailored
 •  3* Support for lpa chidlren could be improved
 •  4* We don’t use for all pupils. 
 •  3* Generally fine but need to make some adjustments as you’d expect!

 

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
 •  4* Children seem to really love it
 •  3* Some issues with writing in a printed book
 •  3* It works for individuals but isn’t capturing for all
 •  3* Does take time
 •  3* No issues but could be more exciting 
 •  5* It’s very engaging 
 •  4* Nice materials 
 •  4* Pupils respond well to lessons and resources

 

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
 •  3* There are review lessons but we use White Rose unit assessments.
 •  4* Lots online
 •  3* Not comprehensive 
 •  3* Lots of quizzes
 •  3* Could be better 
 •  4* Our assessment is changing so it doesn’t quite align with our system. 
 •  3* Assessment resources work well

 

How well does it support planning?
 •  5* All there for you
 •  5* Misconceptions also covered
 •  3* Additional planning for lowers and highers often required
 •  5* Excellent 
 •  5* Easy to pick up and go
 •  4* It is well planned and very little changes are needed because it is whole class 
 •  3* But expensive 
 •  3* Good coverage with minor adjustments 

 

What improvements could make this better value for money?
 • 3* But you still need maths books to write in
 • 3* Not cheap based on buying the books
 • 3* Quite expensive
 • 3* Quite expensive for a small school
 • 4* It’s fairly priced 
 • 3* No different from other schemes
