It has helped to develop computing teaching in our school and has help with consistency, continuity and progression.

How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

Links well, staff support videos help with CPD, less successful are the coding elements so we have had to purchase another scheme to help with this.

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

More for SEN children that has less typing / spelling and more word banks or other techniques for pupils to record ideas and reponses

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Children enjoy using it and become familiar with the platform. Saving and accessing work is a bit clumsy for children who are not as confident with computing

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

Not always easy to assess outcomes in terms of who has achieved well.

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

Easy to use for staff who are not as confident at computing / teaching. The planning and progression is all there for you - it makes it easier for the subject leader to track teaching and learning.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Children struggle to remember their logins and often need them reset so this causes issues if it is set for homework.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

If the coding section was more challenging then we wouldn't have to buy another resource. We also supplement it with additional online safety material as there is limited units - we prefer to teach little and often rather than 1 session per half term

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
