It gives me confidence that we can fully meet the requirements of the national curriculum however I do feel There is room for improvement

How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

You have access to all the software you need and don’t have to buy extra things. Because you do everything through purple mash, it always works rather than needing app/programme updates

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support.

Some support for mixed age planning would be useful. It would also be useful if some tasks could have an extension task incorporated so that the higher ability children can be extended.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Children enjoy the tasks. I do feel that sometimes the quality isn’t as high as if I do something like word or PowerPoint because it can feel a bit babyish for the older children

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

I’ve just had training on this so nervous about assessments there but as of yet I haven’t been able to use them to fully comment.

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

Support with mixed age planning would be useful. The planning is easy to use and it is also clear to see progression from a subject leader’s point of view

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

It worked really well for children working at home however I still have the issues that I don’t feel the finished product that children produces as always as good as it could be just because it looks a bit babyish therefore they’re not challenged to produce the very best work possible.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

I would like to see a more refined art package for older pupils. It would also be good if somehow Word and PowerPoint could be incorporated into the tasks

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
