Average rating across all Historical Association reviews: 4.3/5

How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

Good variety of resources and topics

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support / extension or challenge

Could be better in this area.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long

More useful for teachers than children.

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful

Not child friendly

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

Very good in this respect, some adapting required as expected.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning

Again meant for school use only I think.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

Reasonably cheap

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
