 Review: This is one of the world's foremost climatological sites. The USA´s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website gives information on weather, hazards, forecasting, climate change, satellites and space. From the front page there are options for a teacher’s site, a student site or "cool sites" for everyone. The rest of the frequently updated front page is taken up with recent articles and a site search facility. NOAA is the first port of call for research on hurricanes and tornadoes, and is very user friendly and intuitive to use. I addition an interesting ´´Safety Tips´´ page provides useful advice should you be caught by bad weather. There is a huge range of information and links on this site, and it should be bookmarked in every Geography department. |
