Review: This site follows the River Ribble through 16 points form its source in the moors of North Yorkshire until it enters the sea. Visitors to the site can follow the river and explore nearby settlements in a series of captioned photographs at each point on the way. There are about eight photographs at each stop on the journey, each illustrating a geographical feature. Each stop has a link to the relevant multimap for the area, although map comparisons to be made. As well as the River Ribble there are two smaller sections covering the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Ribble Way footpath. A differentiated version for lower ability pupils is available, and there are links to other educational sites. This is a great site for a river study.
