Review: A website dedicated to step-by-step poetry workshops on-line, how to write stories and how to write book reviews. This is a very child friendly site, which will look good on an interactive whiteboard. The children can hear a poet reading his own work and how to write a similar poem. The site is well worth a visit and would be a good resource to use as a whole class lesson. Karla Kuskin demonstrates how to use descriptive words to create powerful poems. There are also teacher guides associated with the lessons.
