 Review: A site written in five languages built around Beatrix Potter and her famous characters Peter Rabbit and friends. There is a wealth of information about Beatrix’s early childhood and later life.This includes childhood sketches such as animals she kept as pets which gave her the ideas for the characters in her books as well as the landscapes she painted which formed the backgrounds to her pictures, as well as her picture letters and imaginary art. These would be a great resource for a teacher to use on an interactive whiteboard when teaching a Beatrix Potter theme as well as offering ideas for research by children themselves. The Fun section contains numerous activities to support the topic and use as cross curricular links – puzzles, dot to dots, online games, word searches, shape games, riddles, ecards, videos, stories, colouring pages and crafts.
