Review: This web site offers folk and fairy tales from fourteen countries around the world. Older children might enjoy reading the stories from different countries themselves. They might be asked to choose a story to read and then retell it in their own words in order to share with other children. There is no sound to the stories so teachers would need to read the stories with their class if they had younger children. However, this site would be a useful one to use when looking for stories from different cultures. There is rather a lot of continuous text in each story which is a pity as the format is not as appealing as it could have been. The inclusion of a few pictures to break up text would have made the books much more interesting and appealing to children.
