Review: A commercial site devoted to the works of children´s author Beverley Cleary. Her books range from picture books to novels on being fifteen and first love. There is an interesting biography of this author of the Ramona stories and a downloadable teaching guide for the stories is available. There are also trivia quizzes, character fact files and lists of Beverly Cleary's books together with colouring and activity sheets. Teachers may wish to use this site if using any of the Cleary books in class or could use the character descriptions in writing exercises.
Review: A simple but useful site which could be used to complete a biography of Roald Dahl with KS2 children. The site provides a comprehensive list of his books and the autobiographies he wrote. I particularly like the report on his life and the clear timeline. There are six different quizes each about a different Roald Dahl book and images designed by the author with overviews of some of his stories.
