A nice feature of this website is that it follows a question and answer format where children get explanatory feeb=dback whether they make a correct or incorrect answer. This would be a great discussionary tool on an Interactive Whiteboard and could serve as a useful recap to atopic on water.

Recycle City * * * * This is a star rating given by UK teachers who have reviewed the website

Recycle City

Mainly suitable for:
Foundation Stage - Preschool, KS2, KS3
Review: Recycle City is an interactive website that aims to encourage people to recycle, reduce and reuse waste. This is achieved in two ways - firstly by playing the Dumptown game, and secondly by carrying out the activities. In the game you are in charge of waste for the city, and have to reduce waste while keeping within your budget. This will appeal to children who are familiar with games like Sim City. The activities are shorter and simpler tasks to complete. They include things like going around the city and examining waste to find out which recyclable material is most often thrown out. Although this site is fun there is some serious work going on in informing attitudes, and teachers can take advantage by using the teacher’s pages for help and ideas. The only drawback to this site is the use of US terms.
