Are you interested in taking part in a focus group about the use of primary reading schemes to support all pupils, including those with additional needs such as EAL, SEN, and reluctant readers? We’re holding seven focus groups in the following locations:
London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford, Cheltenham/ Gloucester and we’re looking for teachers with the following specialisms or job roles:
literacy coordinators, EAL coordinators, Sencos, and teachers from schools with a high percentage of EAL or SEN pupils. (You don’t need to belong to more than one of these categories!)

The dates for the focus groups are as follows:
11th, 16th, 17th, 18th 23rd and 24th March 2010 from 4.30 – 6.30pm.

We’re also looking for primary literacy teachers in international schools to take part in an online focus group on 25th March 2010 at a time yet to be agreed.

We’ll be exploring the way in which you use your reading scheme, and discussing how publishers of a relatively new reading scheme ought to expand and develop their range of titles and resources, so the conversation should be stimulating, lively, and interesting.
