free content for your site
The Schoolzone webguide is available in a white
label format to include in your own site free of charge.
Put it in your own site:
1. Simple method - this gives visitors to your
site immediate access to all our resources. Use this
code in the Body section of your page (between the <body>
and </body> tags)
*****************************************************
<IFRAME src="http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/pip/exsearch/search.asp"
width="550" height="1500"; scrolling="auto"
frameborder="1" > </IFRAME>
*****************************************************
This uses Iframes to place a search form into
your page: see
example Search results open in the same page, but
links from the results open in a new window.
The search form that is placed into your page with
this code is at http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/pip/exsearch/search.asp
2. Further refinements:
Constraining the search to default to one subject:
Simply change the URL in the Iframe code above.
For example to display Chemistry results, change
it to:
http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/pip/exsearch/ex-search.asp?searchit=yes&num=20&search=&subject=7
(Chemistry has a subject number of 7)
For other subjects, see the list of other
subject numbers
Other parameters
can be changed as follows:
1. Go to http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/pip/exsearch/search.asp
2. Select the option you require from the form and
click GO
3. Copy the URL from the search results page, eg: KS4
Chemistry Lessons:
http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/pip/exsearch/ex-search.asp?searchit=yes&engine=0&num=20&search=&subject=7&subcat=196&levelid=5&I3.x=16&I3.y=4
4. Alter the following parameters to narrow the search
or alter the results display:
num=x gives the number of links to display
on the results page
subcat=196 defines the category selection (chemistry
lessons)
levelid=5 defines the age range (ks4)
We have tried to
make this as flexible as possible to fit with your requirements,
but should you require further customisation, please
get in touch.
