Assessment for Learning in the Classroom
Qwizdom’s handheld remote system is designed

and student attitudes were monitored alongside the

Using
a SMART Board in the classroom
Class Three were shown a selection of PowerPoint
Presentations created by a previous Year 6 . This
was initially used as a stimulus by the class teacher

The challenge to use English in new ways led to
the students presenting group word association pieces
to camera. Their BSL recordings could not be understood
by their hearing mentors and peers and therefore
a small group of year 9 deaf students decided to
put the video clips into the computer and add English
to them.
