Inequality in schools

Date: 21.08.2018

The poorest pupils in England are nine times as likely to attend an inadequate school as the wealthiest pupils.

Nationally, students in the wealthiest areas consistently attend outstanding and good schools – with only 2 per cent in schools that are rated inadequate.

The figures are actually much worse than Labour say, because they don’t take into account the wealthy 10% attending private schools.
