GCSE entries decline, VQs increaseDate: 06.03.2019
The AQMR provides information on the number and types of qualifications available for award in England over the academic year 2017/18 and the number of certificates awarded by recognised awarding organisations.
Overall, the number of certificates awarded continues to decline. The largest increase in the number of qualifications in 2017/18 was seen in Vocationally-Related Qualifications - these total 51% of all qualifications awarded - GCSEs account for 41%.
AQA still has the biggest market share (29%), followed by Pearson (22%)
