RELEVANT FOR EDEXCEL Aims of the day This intensive one day course will focus on stretching the most able students by helping to overcome the barriers that lead to some more able students doing less well than expected. The day will:
- Focus on maximising synoptic opportunities
- Consider a range of different question styles
- Explore problem areas within physical geography topics, which often prove the ‘undoing’ of good students
- Consider ways of helping students recognise complexity and uncertainty, to broaden their perspective
- Example question from past exam papers will be used to illustrate the higher level thinking skills required for top-level achievement
All delegates will receive detailed notes which will be of immediate practical benefit in the classroom
