It has been designed to support the teaching of first aid to children and young people. The CD-ROM provides PowerPoint presentations, lesson plans, worksheets, schemes of work, video and audio clips, as well as an interactive quiz. The package could be used to support the teaching of first aid in PSHE lessons for Key Stage 3 and is also suitable for teaching health and social care, life processes and living things within science, and outcomes within the GCSE PE syllabus.

Live it .first aid education kit can be used on individual PCs, across a network (for which there is no extra cost) and displayed on an interactive whiteboard and is suitable for delivering key concepts relating to first aid and for use as secondary source material. It is a flexible resource as teachers can pick and choose from material within the package that will best suit the needs of their students. Indeed, teachers do not have to systematically work their way through the entire content for it to make sense to their students. Teachers can dip in and out of the package to support the delivery of first aid across the curriculum, when the need arises. Resources such as worksheets can be printed and used by teachers within lessons. Teachers may decide to follow some of the pre-prepared lessons also included within the resources section of the package.

The content of the CD-ROM has been written and designed to engage young people, and make information relating to first aid more relevant to them.
