Peer Review Service Terms and Conditions

This agreement sets out the terms and conditions on which the supplier ("the supplier") has commissioned Schoolzone.co.uk Ltd ("Schoolzone") to produce an Peer review.

1. All suppliers commissioning a Schoolzone Peer review and all data relating to that Peer review are additionally subject to the Terms and Conditions for Schoolzone Hosting and Listing services, available online at www.schoolzone.co.uk/clients/advertorialconditions.asp

2. The supplier will complete the online form: Product Details Entry Form (at http://www.schoolzone.co.uk/clients/products/evalproductdetails.asp) setting out the title/products(s) to be evaluated, supplier's contact details and preferences for subject area and key stage specialist for Peer review purposes.

3. For Virtual Tour and Hardware/peripheral Peer reviews the supplier will also nominate which fields they wish to have covered by the evaluator.

4. Submission of the Product Details Entry Form to Schoolzone confirms the Peer review instruction to Schoolzone, subject to these terms and conditions. An email confirmation of these instructions will be sent to the supplier. This process makes the placement of the instructions and any associated fees binding upon the supplier, whether or not the supplier then proceeds to send in product/access details etc to enable the commencement of the Peer review.

5. For Digital Resource and Virtual Tour Peer reviews, the supplier will provide two copies of titles (with licences suitable to facilitate full class Peer reviews); one copy to be kept in the Schoolzone office and the other to be kept by the evaluator's school unless agreed otherwise) or access details for an online service for a period of 12 months, plus any promotional, support or information materials together with any guidance they can offer on their target market so that Schoolzone can endeavour to match the evaluator correctly to the target market.

6. For hardware/peripheral Peer reviews the supplier and Schoolzone will liaise to facilitate sending of the product direct by the supplier to the evaluator. Schoolzone will discuss with the publisher the number of products to be evaluated and the number of products which will be kept by the evaluator upon completion of the Peer review together with any guidance they can offer on their target market so that Schoolzone can endeavour to match the evaluator correctly to the target market.

7. For all Peer reviews products need to be received by the Schoolzone office and/or evaluator (as appropriate) within 30 days of submission of the Product Details Entry Form, failure to do this will result in the client being invoiced for the full Peer review with immediate effect.

8. On completion of the Product Details Entry Form by a client, Schoolzone will identify an appropriate evaluator and offer the Peer review to him/her for completion. We reserve the right to advise the client if the instruction cannot be processed, in which case no invoice will be raised. Products for Peer review will only be offered to evaluators who have completed Schoolzone training and who are fully contracted to Schoolzone.

9. On completion of the full Peer review (a maximum of eight weeks from receipt of product by the evaluator) the evaluator enters it directly into the Schoolzone database where it enters a holding bay prior to publication.

10. Schoolzone will proof read the Peer review and email the Peer review link to the supplier for their approval over a two week period, leading to a total Peer review timeframe of under ten weeks.

(11. Virtual Tour Peer reviews: service suspended September 2010)

12. For Digital Resource Peer reviews the supplier has two weeks from the date Schoolzone emails the completed Peer review link to suggest any amendments to factual content to Schoolzone or to query the Peer review content. If Schoolzone does not hear from the supplier within two weeks of the Peer review link being mailed to the supplier's contact (as named in the supplier's profile details) then the Peer review will be automatically published on the Schoolzone website and the publication URL sent to the supplier.

13. Where the supplier raises any queries within the given timescale, publication will be put on hold whilst Schoolzone checks with the evaluator and makes amendments (if appropriate and at our sole discretion) then the Peer review link is resent to the supplier for final approval. Again if Schoolzone do not hear from the supplier within two weeks of the Peer review link being mailed to the supplier's contact (as named in the supplier's profile details) then the Peer review will be automatically published on the Schoolzone web site and the publication URL will be sent to the supplier.

14. The evaluator is paid their fee by Schoolzone on completion of the full Peer review.

15. Schoolzone procedure (unless agreed otherwise in writing between the parties) is to invoice the supplier for the Peer review and the first annual hosting and listing fee 45 days after submission of instructions via the Product Details Entry Form. Payment is then due within 30 days. Liability for payment on these terms and conditions falls due in full as soon as the Product Details Entry Form is completed and whether or not the Peer review is published or vetoed for publication by the supplier.

16. Marketing options may change from time to time and it is the supplier's responsibility to check these on the Schoolzone website at the time of publication.

17. Any changes to these Terms & Conditions will be notified to all clients one month in advance of their coming into effect and via email to the contact named in the Product Details Entry Form

18. On publication the supplier may use the Peer review URL in a link from their own site and may quote from the text with the source cited and inclusion of the Schoolzone stamp logo as provided by Schoolzone.

19. The annual hosting and listing fee for the first 12 month period will be demanded with the one off Peer review fee and thereafter will fall due for payment on an annual basis.

20. Pricing for the Peer reviews Services and Hosting and Listing Service will be reviewed each March and notified to clients accordingly.

21. A summary of the Schoolzone Hosting and Listing services package is as follows:
A single unique user ID and password login to facilitate:

12 months hosting of an Peer review
12 months listing of an Peer review in search engines and via the Schoolzone site
Submission of new products to be evaluated
Updating of company details and logo associated with evaluated products

By completing the Product Details Entry Form you are agreeing to submit your product to the Peer review service(s) specified by you on the form acknowledging acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
