Review: This ativity is designed to reinforce pupils ability to order positive numbers. The numbers are on items of clothing. They must be dragged by the mouse onto a washing line in the correct order. There are several levels of dificulty on this webpage. The higher levels are more complex, involving up to three decimal places. A well presented and attractive activity, this would be fine for use with an interactie whiteboard.

Review: This is an interactive activity from the Channel 4 website. it features different number lines with different starting and ending numbers. An arrow points to a place on each line. Pupils have to work out what number is at that point on the number line. The scale on the number lines change according to the increment. This is a useful activity that could be used as part of work either on number sequences or as part of work on measurement and reading scales. This would be good for interactive whiteboard use.

Review: This is a very large site which explores the link between colour and maths. It is not the easiest site to navigate but it is worth persevering as there are some interesting ideas. In addition to the argument put forward that colour can aid mathematical learning, there is a wide range of programs and other software that can be downloaded from the site which might well be useful in schools. The site is geared towards more advanced students but there are activities that might be suitable for younger children. There is also an impressive maths picture gallery containg many colourful geometrical and matematical patterns. This is an unusual website that is worth looking at. It does contain some interesting activities but it is quite hard to find what you are looking for! Beware of the American spelling and links to non national curriculum maths.
