There is a separate answer sheet for each worksheet, which makes marking very easy. The worksheets are mainly aimed at years 4 and 5 but could be used to challenge younger or older children. They are challenging and stimulating and are accessed free of charge. Many of these are spatial puzzles which require pupils to move shapes or objects around the screen. These would fit well into a daily numeracy lesson perhaps as a mental maths warm up or maybe as part of a plenary session. These puzzles are well worth a look. A recommended website! There is a sample applet which models how to solve the problem with smaller numbers. Includes Geometry, Fractions, Isometrics, Tessellations and Tangrams. there are products for sale on this website but there are also lots of really good ideas about how paper folding can be used to support the curriculum, particualrly in mathemtaic. The ideas are accompanied by clear diagrams and illustrations. This site could be really useful and is well worth a look Maths   Twenties (2)   Mainly suitable for: KS2 Review: This is a worksheet from the excellent Primary Resources website which offers lots of free resources to Primary teachers and is definitely a tremendous resource. This worksheet consolidates addition within 20. The worksheet contains a grid of single digit numbers. Pupils are asked to find set of numbers within the grid that add up to 20. They are given blank parts of the number grid and have to identify it by its shape. This devlops not only addition but also problem solving skills. Maths   Riddles   Mainly suitable for: KS2 Review: This webpage contains a short worksheet on Mathematical Riddles where you have to add a word to complete the sentence. The worksheet needs to be printed for use by the pupils. It could be used in the classroom with children discussing how they would solve the problem or as a homework exercise to consolidate work carried out in the classroom.
