Review: This site provides a good balance of activites and information pertaining to the basic concepts of place value. There is a selection of activites from a simple tutorial pertaining to everyday number scenarios and visual concepts of place value. This is followed by a factsheet that provides different types of place value activities, thus, providing a good resource for revision purposes. The test activity is an on-line test of place value which can be used for assessment purposes or a check-up whereas the worksheet can be printed as an additional resource. Each of the activities can be selected in any order. Most activities are for individual use, however, the tutorial can be used with an overhead projector to reinforce concept of place value to the class. This site also has activites pertaining to all concepts in mathematics using the same set-up.
