It simply presents pupils with a series of thinking points or investigations. These are to do with throwing dice or spinners. The pupils have to work out the probablility of different outcomes. This is a very well presented, colourful and attractive activity so could easily be used on an interactive whiteboard either as a starter activity or perhaps as part of a plenary.

Review: This is a resource from the Ambleside Primary School website which would be great for use on an interactive whiteboard. There is a selection of JAVA based online tools which explore the properties of various regular and irregular shapes as well as mirror and rotational symmetry. Each page has a brief selection of teaching ideas / notes. They have been developed for use by a class teacher using a computer with a class or group, although they could be used for investigations by independent groups of children.
