Review: Part of the bicentennial celebration of the national census. This is an excellent resource for anyone teaching or learning local History in Staffordshire. Can be used as a research tool to find out about the census and therefore the population changes in Staffordshire in the nineteenth century. The Did You Know section can be used by pupils to show statistical data in the form of graphs and bar charts either by hand or transferred to a excel spread sheet to produce computer generated charts for pupil analysis. If pupils click on the census home button hey are taken to the National Statistics home page where lots more statistical data can be viewed. Pupils can then undertake compare and contrast activities with different counties. There is also general information about the census and how it can help historians. Numeracy implications.
