Review: Simple worksheet that can be photocopied and used by older children to identify properties of shapes. The activity is set out as a table and children would be asked to write the name of the shape in the appropriate box. They would then be encouraged to write about the properties of that shape in the next box. For example, having named a circle they could write that it has 1 side, one angle of 360 degrees, no parallel sides and no corners. This would be a good activity for children working in pairs or in small groups for a class lesson on shapes. In the plenary part of the lesson children could share their ideas of the properties of shapes that they had recorded on the worksheet.
