Overview
'Respect, Your life, Your Choice' is a stimulating and thought provoking collection of interactive materials from the 'Children's Safety Education Foundation'. The main part of the resource is an ebook that contains text and video. There are also supplementary downloads and a teacher book that contains worksheets.
Designed for PSHE teachers, the resource deals with sensitive issues in an engaging and age appropriate manner. Topics include; anti-bullying, hate crime, substance misuse, anti social behaviour, gangs, guns and knives, staying safe and domestic abuse.
The resource contains a lot of material, and teachers will want to mix and match relevant activities, rather than work through the whole resource sequentially. You can use the topics to prompt further discussion and focus on topics relevant to the local area or community.

Overview
Logicator 7 is an amazing piece of software that allows pupils (and teachers) to create a control programme simply by dragging commands on the screen and creating links between them. This simple system allows the programmer to see the functions operating and modify, add or correct the programme until the desired outputs are achieved. It is simply a visual programming system which allows ideas to be modeled and tested with the utmost ease. For those starting from scratch the language, symbols and techniques build to a high level as you work through the soft simulations which are contained within the package for training and learning purposes. These cover interesting areas of control from the traditional car park modeling through to the more complex ideas required for drinks machines and theme park rides. There is something there to inspire all students at all levels.

These interactive simulations cover a huge range of science, maths, and technology concepts. Each comes with a guide to the age groups targeted, a brief summary of learning objective it addresses and, for students, a more detailed explanation of the scientific ideas covered. Most simulations are aimed at the 16-19 age groups and the majority cover biology and physics concepts. The nice thing about them is their versatility. They are interactive, and there is no sound, so they make adaptable teaching tools. A school license allows them to be shown full screen from the website or downloaded. Once downloaded, the animations can be shown in a web browser, embedded in a PowerPoint presentation or web page.
